A Cynical World

We live in a cynical world. The news is enough to make anyone think there is no hope. Sometimes our surroundings cause us to ask, is there no GOOD anywhere out there? Murder, rape, gangs, children missing, people holding children for 18 years in their backyard, the list goes on and on and on. But then you sit in church and you look around you and realize all the good in the world. I have great neighbors, great friends, great family. They would give me the shirt off their back if I asked them (most of them). We can make the world a better place. We do make the world a better place. The holidays are creeping up on us. Every year, myself and several friends have a needy family project. We collect food, donations, and buy Christmas gifts. We make a difference. It makes this crazy world a better place. There IS good news out there, we have to look for it. Better yet, we have to make it. Go out and make it a Good Day.
